DSPGenie M-TT V.18 USB Version
Overview
The DSPGenie Modem Transmission Tester (MTT V.18 version) is a multi-DSP based testing platform that allows for highly automated verification of the behaviour of telecommunication network equipment with various types of modems. Configured for use with two-wire modems allow the DSPGenie V.18 MTT to be utilised in most PSTN and PSTN-like environments, where the POTS-type modems are expected.
The DSPGenie V.18 MTT uses onboard DSP resources to implement a range of low-speed modems used in text telephony, including those defined in the ITU-T V.18 recommendation:
- V.18
- V.21
- V.23
- Bell 103
- Baudot
- EDT
- DTMF text
The DSP implementation also supports some special protocols
- DTMF signaling (keypad)
- DTMF security protocol SIA DC-05
The standard version of the DSPGenie MTT V.18 version tester connects to any PC using a
standard USB port. The modems can be configured by the application software as a calling or answering parties and connect to the Network equipment via standard PSTN (POTS) interfaces, terminated with the RJ11 sockets.
